Community Guidelines

Last update on: December 19, 2023

Welcome to Atomic Education! I’m glad you’re here.

Atomic Education is an online learning platform where anyone can learn how to use technology in their business.

As part of a Premium memberships, I provide a Forum where members can come together in a fun and welcoming place.

These guidelines help ensure that happens across Atomic Education’s communities.

These guidelines form part of our Website Terms of Use.

They may be changed without notice. Your continued use of the Forum indicates your acceptance of the guidelines published at that time.

Be Kind and Courteous: We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect.

Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

Understand that we all started knowing nothing and through the help of others, we learn.

Respect Everyone’s Privacy: Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What’s shared in the group should stay in the group.

Privacy and sharing of personal information, which is sometimes referred to as doxing is not permitted.

I do not allow any of the following:

Personal attacks: This includes name-calling, insults, threats, hurtful comments about someone’s appearance, or style, and all other forms of attacks. We all want our community to be welcoming and fun. Personal attacks are the opposite of that.

Discriminatory or derogatory language: This includes racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or other forms of discrimination.

Harassment: This includes, but is not limited to, intimidation; stalking; use of sexual or discriminatory imagery, comments, or jokes; and unwelcome sexual attention.

Misinformation and disinformation: Sharing demonstrably false information about news or world events can be harmful to our communities. These comments will be removed and may result in a suspension or a ban.

Illegal activity: Don’t promote, encourage, or make light of any kind of illegal activity, including drug use, domestic violence, or sexual assault.

Sexual content or nudity: Keep it M rated at most, or you will be removed. This includes language and images that are sexual, violent, or generally offensive in nature.

Excessive profanity: Rarely is profanity necessary but I do understand that sometimes it’s a way of expressing frustration. But excessive profanity is unnecessary and will not tolerated especially when directed toward any individual or group.

Trolling: We know it when we see it, and I’ll remove it. If you don’t like someone else’s choices or opinions, be respectful in your answer and don’t post a response just to get a reaction.

Spam: I have a zero-tolerance policy on spam, which includes sharing links to site offering or promoting illegal content. Spam will be deleted, and spammers may be banned, blocked, or removed.

Anyone who doesn’t follow these rules when engaging in our communities will at best be removed from the conversation, and at worst will end up banned from the Forum. These decisions will be made at the discretion of our community managers and other Atomic Education team members.

How you can help?

If you see any of these things happening in our communities, please flag it and it will be reviewed.
